The Heart of a Caregiver

GenXer Shamrocker ☘️

Caregiving is in and of itself rewarding in every way. You learn a lot about a persons life; how they lived in the “good old days!” They teach you many of life’s lessons. Between history, cooking, gardening (if you catch on) all this is a blessing. They learn from you this new world of technology. Staying safe online of course; but most of all staying in touch with family. The hardest part may be when you’re no longer needed. This independent old timer just can’t be defeated. For me I’d say the hardest part is when they die. True this is part of the journey of this life. Still it’s never easy to say goodbye. There’s a just a hope that knowing that are so loved on the other side.

Love it, my friend. You really do get to the heart of who a caregiver is. Wonderful job! 🌹👏

    A fine write GS.
I can't say I care for KP. My daily words to her are: 'I don't care, my dear!' Ohh, I'm horrible to her. lol.
