Poetic Justice

sunshine777

My heart seems too nice to do you how you did me

Give me this pen though an the Lord reads my heart

My mind lets it all free

Whoever wrote heart of stone must have once loved you too

You have many talents but not one of them is staying true

Knives stabbed in my back

Shot in the dark

If it weren't for all your threats

I would have left from the start

Never once have you truly showed remorse

You leave it all be

Like it's supposed to run a course

Killing me with your poison

Playing me like a chess game

Tearing apart all my dreams

Destroying my self esteem

I put my whole life on hold

For you to better yourself

Never acknowledged the whole time you were already blessed

So I

left

A heartfelt write of what appears a very one sided at times abusive relationship, raw and honestly written

Full of truth and heart. Thank u. Sometimes these poems of mine actually start as letters. Coping skills. I appreciate you

        You are very welcome

Feelings of abandonment and betrayal in this poem come through. Anger as well and then standing up for oneself and leaving to better the situation. Well written
