Encore! Encore!
Another trip around the sun
Another 365 are done
Another year has ticked on by
My oh my how time does fly
The shadow of the past grows long
Last verse now of the final song
The light grows dim to the eye
All our years spent like a sigh
Until alas we exit stage right
To enter the rest of cessation’s night
But the crowd is cheering even more
As they cry out, Encore! Encore!

- Comment from author about the poem: Too many die before they’re dead. You may be in your last season, but don’t quit yet. The crowd is calling out for a reprise. Maybe your best performance is yet to be!

A great message with good rhyme. Very nice
Thank You, Soren. Life sure does get by us in a hurry. Best to squeeze as much of it out of each day as we can. I always appreciate you coming by.
Encore ! Encore ! They want more. Not necessarily of your lovely performance. But of your misfortunes as well… For, there are those who revel in that… Even while they are taking the final exit themselves… Life is indeed like a treadmill that keeps running, never slowing, never stopping. We are thrust onto it at birth, we have to keep running all our lives, until the time we are shoved off or we drop off ourselves. The encounters along the way are brief ones.

Soman, such true and good words. Thank you so kindly for sharing. I am learning to treasure every encounter because they are so brief.
A very positive and uplifting write, enjoyed the read
Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words. I always look forward to our brief and virtual visits. May your days be well and full of life, PL.
You are very welcome and May your days be too
