Act now

NafisaSB

When you leave something for later

It disappears from sight

So do it right now

Before day turns into night

You will daily grow older

But also try to remain wise

The tea/coffee may get cold

But then you can add ice

Life will pass you by

And you will regret a lot

So take my good advice

And strike while the iron is hot

Do not sit and tarry

But act when you have a chance

For if you leave it to fate

She will lead you a merry dance

Later  - you may lose interest

And always crave for rest

So to ensure that life is bright

Act while the time is right

I'll remember 'The tea/coffee may get cold But then you can add ice'. Now there's a strategy.

However, I regret nothing (didn't want it in French, did you ?) and so right now I do always crave for rest. ☺️

                Good message.

hello.. when in Dubai [upto 2019] - refrigerating the left over hot coffee we used to have at Costa after a midnight movie and adding ice cream and enjoying it the day after was how i used to enjoy both the hot and cold coffee - [alas now in mumbai it's just a good memory]
am glad you regret nothing, and just crave for rest - the noise pollution here also makes us want the same..
btw - oui - you can try sending it in french, will let you know if i understand - most probably i may not , even though familiar with a few french words..
have a lovely Sunday - rest and relax..take care

Oh come on - I cannot believe a sophisticate such as yourself has never heard of Édith Piaf.......
Though fair dues - I don't think I could name a famous Indian singer, so...

                    • NafisaSB

truthfully i had not and wondered why not when i was familiar with most of the English songs of late 50\'s and 60\'s and used to like Jim Reeves, Cliff Richards, Elvis right upto Abba and George Michael , but just googled it and found she was a french singer [lovely operatic voice] so obviously not in my league. used to sing and dance along with the beatles too...those were the days..
The Indian male singer Mohammed Rafi was our neighbour in Bandra West mumbai, who had sung for many hindi heroes in various movies and he was so good you could identify which hero he was singing for when you heard the song...if interested, do hear his masti [fun] songs, you tart tapping a foot asap..he is on youtube
have fun listening to our lively hindi music...and enjoy the week ahead..take care
