Constellate

Libellule

All of these stars now fill my sky—
mere questions in search of a why,
echoes awaiting an initiating voice,
decisions longing for any true choice.

Here in the blue veil of the night,
upon the threshold of another write,
as I peer out into all of this black,
I seek to again pen all that I lack.

Setting out once more on a quest
in hope to pen only my best,
to leave only these unparalleled lines,
intersecting solely within my designs.

While I carry only paper, ink, and pen,
I set off for this distant, quiet glen,
so that I might then join the breeze,
and share in the poetry of these trees.

Now, about to pen what is true
beneath this sky of midnight blue,
I revel in the celebration
beneath a widening constellation.

Poetry under the stars how poetic indeed and a metaphor as well.
