Can you feel the shaking?
The inevitable quaking.
It always happens before the volcano.
Our society copies in the same.
The very air trembles and rumbles.
I can feel the pressure building at a hastened rate.
Angst and non unity are palpable in the air.
Tell me you don’t sense it and I’ll say
you’re unaware.
I just stumble along when I should have prepared.
Human nature is not born good.
Some overcome, some go with the me, me, me flood.
Can any of us read between the lines?
Better yet do any wish to?

At first I took this to be an actual volcano but then moved to the idea of metaphorical. We all have those volcanos in our lives that we may be aware are going to erupt and those we are not being unaware. The poem seems to be a warning. Well done
It is a warning but none see. None read between the lines in society. Thanks.
