Each breath a fight, a silent scream,
Haunted by shadows, nothing's as it seems.Heartbeat fading, in the dead of night, Just trying to find a flicker of light.
Empty promises, like whispers in the rain, Washing away hope, leaving only pain. Aching inside, a hollow space, Lost in the maze of a fallen grace.

Metaphoric this poem speaks to the difficulty of finding hope and the continual search for it. Nicely imaged and worded it has an anxious feel to it. Lovely
