Parents Are Humans

Callista Howard

Parents are humans too, they were created to nurture you.

Their duty was to mould, care, educate and discipline you.

They weren't sent to spoil, pamper and turn a blind eye to your wicked ways

Parents like you were created and moulded by YAH

Carefully netted together and sent with an ultimate plan

To ensure you evolve into a great woman and man

Parents are humans too, they were not carved from a tree

Their life span depends solely on how well they are treated

Every parent, just like you, is given the chance to overcome, endure and better their path of life

Parents are not machines, nor do they have a long battery life

Parents make mistakes, they are not always right

They are not built to be like metal, nor do they have a heart like steel

On the contrary, parents are quite fragile and can be weak like you

Do not be deceived by what you see, parents have to play their part

They have to act courageously, bravely and strongly

Parents are only humans with emotions and feelings, too

Like you, they need attention, love and consideration

Parents are only humans like you.

They need to be cherished, respected and loved too.

We all do the best we can with the tools that we have to work with, unfortunately many do not have the proper tools. A poem to excite a bit of empathy for the near impossible job of a parent. Lovely

A interesting write of it being a two-way street, and parent's sometimes not being appreciated enough, nicely expressed and written
