THE GOTHIC WINDOW

nephilim56

The Gothic window
Became my eyes
The road of fate
Tells many lies
My open soul
Meandered in
Worn and weary
My coat of skin.

My dreams
Have dreamed
Flesh
Of clay
In nightly visions
Along lifes way.

The windows arch
My latticed hope
Shattered often
Struggles to cope
With demons smile
Or wicked blow
This road of fate
Conclusions know.

Good rhyme matched with good flow make this poem easy to read and with the metaphor of the eyes as windows it is easy to understand as well. Very nice.
