A Rogue's lament

Nicole Pritchard

I went rogue, and my world did crash

One stupid move, and love did dash

I wish to turn back time's hands

Erase the mistake that brought us to this land

My heart beats with regret and pain

Longing to fix I couldn't sustain

I yearn to make amends, to right the wrong

To prove my love, and make the bond strong

Can you find it in your heart to forgive?

To see the sorrow that I truly live?

I'll work to regain your trust and love

And hope that together, we rise above

I'd rewrite the past, If I could

But all I can do is make a new road

One paved with promises, and a heart that's true

Hoping you'll join me, and love anew
