Do Not Conform

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

Trying tiresomely to step and tread away,

Disparaging deviants destroy someone's day.

Devils at the main gate but do not conform,

Creepy kids looking like Children of the Corn.

Life was never this dark all of those years ago,

Punching us right in the gut, another body blow.

Snakes and Ladders, Chess or some Monopoly,

Keep your eyes set on what's forever Holy.

A strong message sent in this poem that may be taken as not conforming to the mass pressure for what some call sin and evil or on the other hand not conforming to what society or religion tells us we must do to be acceptable. Either way being oneself is what is important. Good write

I strongly approve of this message. Conformity is cursed, says the muse! Excellent write, my friend! 🌹👏
