Meet me at the freshet
Where there is a gathering -
A swath of pilgrims wait
For to find eternity -
Where there flows an old hope
And God's love is evergreen -
Where His deeds are retold
Of which move our hearts to sing.
Bind His words to your mind;
Let them be our canopy.
We will uphold in time
These truths to the enemy
And then Christ will steal us
To a place of victory -
Forever loved and thus
Forevermore we will be!

This poem has a revival type feel to it feeling deeply Christian but with roots that go far deeper. Very nicely written
Thank you, Soren. It can be sung like the song "Battle Hymn of the Republic". Same tempo, same keys. I've been so troubled lately, can't seem to get it together no matter what I do and I hear the same from people on YouTube. I was picturing people gathering at a watering hole in the Middle East with no walls around and they don't care that they're unguarded because they know the rapture is near. Then all our problems will be solved, lol.
