TO WANDER

nephilim56

If falling rain
Could form a mask
To ease the pain
Or seldom ask
Of memories
Now hard engrained
Granite rock
Tears to taste.

I need to wander
Away from such
Find the poet
Inside me crushed
Rebuild the need
Cease my pain
Face my enemy
Words to place.

Upon a page
Where dreams can fly
Untouched by
Another eye
Bathed in hands
To purify
The granite tears
No longer cry.
