Possessed

Parsa Samadnejad

My soul was graced by angels' gentle prayers,
Floating petals tinting the sea with their ink,
As you were dancing among the vibrant layers,
Everything vanished in the breath of a blink.

I lost you, bewildered in a mist-laden forest,
Your laughter still echoed amid the crooked green,
Yet all vibrant senses fell toward the soulless,
As clouds overshadowed the now-forgotten scene.

Demons broke cover, setting all dreams aflame,
My heart, a knight, stood firm though oppressed.
I called and called, only hopeless echoes came,
Once a place of solace, now ruthlessly possessed.

Reveries burned down, my weeping, a scant rain,
Forgive my leaving; for our tale must remain.
