Sleep

Sebastian.

I can't sleep

I can't sleep knowing what i know that others don't know

But they could never know what i know for i know that i know that it's wrong

It's wrong because it's sin

It's sin because of how i was raised to be

How i was raised to be?

In a dark room with glimmering light from the sun

It's just like the way my truth starts to slip

When my truth starts to slip

I could never forgive

I could never

Never could i ever

Ever

Look you in the eye again.

A most interesting structure to this poem that seems to ripple with each line and echo with each thought. It culminates in an unknown, what is the sin and who is being talked to. The mystery enhances the power of the poem and changes its interpretation. Lovely

To me this poem conveys virtue and betrayel. Such a good write. Beautiful and passionate.
