The Heart Has a Cost

RSM0812

Once there was love,

Now there is pain.

Your hearts in a cave,

Only thoughts in your brain.

Take it as loss,

Not to effect,

The heart has a cost.

Nothing is perfect.

Now all alone,

Throw me a bone,

Take away blame,

And all of the pain.

Avoid misery,

With fish in the sea.

There will be another,

Like clouds that cover.

The sky is the place,

You'd rather be,

Floating like hawks,

Not solidarity.

Take it with patience,

Another will come,

Just for the now,

Fly under the sun.

Your poem beautifully captures the bittersweet dance of love and loss, with hope shining through like sunlight after rain. The imagery of hawks and clouds paints a moving picture of resilience and renewal.

A most interesting concept that not only with love there is pain but also that pain is in the brain even though it is felt in the body. Nicely written

The write offers hope that through the pain and hurt of love and loss, the sun will shine again, enjoyed the read
