Words About the Journey

Fränz Müller

I wander the path of life long-led

under a starless sky, wide open

and without bearing-marks.

The eyes of strangers say nothing,

the hearts of loved ones, meaning well

sometimes steer you down the righteous path

and sometimes lead you to sin.

In the end, though, each person chooses

where to place that next footfall

and end up in a place of their own choosing.

A most interesting poem that speaks of a path of life in dark and no markers where we listen to others guide us, sometimes for good and others for ill. It is our choice whom to listen to but who do you trust? Good thought provoking write
