You make the birds want to sing a song
That is deeper than religion,
You make my heart sing in all kinds of ways
Yet I love you more than sin
Because whenever I'm in a dark place
You light up my life
And this is all deeper than religion
And when I'm crashing out
The angels stop me...
For this is deeper than religion
Your love for me,
I listen to you every day
And your words speak to me like gems
And how does beauty end up being like this
When it's more beautiful than ever?
For it is a work of art, my love
And how does the garden grow without tension?
For tension bleeds diamonds,
And diamonds are worth more than pain!
There is so much love in the air
Because love is pretentious
And I do this for you
Every morning,
I see you in my dreams
And often I concur
That diamonds are worth more than the strain
And I am not God's punching bag!
I never was.
So it's not my fault that I am human
For I am a broken bone
In the middle of the road
And things are never-ending!
Just look at the stars below
Will they ever rise to the top?
Or will they ever grow old
In the middle of the loathe?
Give me a diamond
And I shall make it peace,
For peace is the only thing that sleeps...
Kiss me in the morning
And I shall be glad,
Make me into a human again
Make me whole within your stance
For the beauty of a rose is substantial
As my garden grows without tension, again.
For diamonds are worth more than pain
I want to know more about you
Because I am rich with curiosity
And I am made with love,
And love captures all that is brilliant
For I am in love!
I am in love with you;
You make me want to write a poem each day,
For each day is a blessing
And the angels are green with envy
For I am taken by your stance
Oh how brilliant it is
To be alive,
I want to be alive forever
And reasons just don't fail
For without inspiration
I am doomed
And I am inspired by a poet
The poet that is you
So give me your diamonds
And I shall make them rain,
How deep is your pain?
