If someone is never loved,
Can that person love someone else?
Or at least love themselves
Can this question be even answered?

A great philosophical question. It depends on whether you believe love is taught or innate. In my opinion yes one can love oneself and others if they have never been loved because I believe it to be an innate trait that humans are born with. Experiencing it from others only teaches how it is to be expressed. A veery thought provoking write
Thank you very much, I believe this question doesn't have a universal answer, indeed it depends on what we believe it to be..
I would agree and one would have to test it with people that have never experienced love and see.
Yes, even if you have never been loved, it is possible to love someone. The two are necessarily dependent on each other. Love is a deep, powerful that arises in you, regardless of other experiences or emotions. Even if someone has hurt you, it is possible to forgive it and love them. Such is the nature of love. Some quotes :
L’amour est un feu de paille qui ne dure que pour quelques temps.
----------------------------
L’amour est une fumée de vapeurs de soupirs.
(Shakespeare)
------------------
L’amour est une montagne :
On la monte en chantant
On la descend en pleurant....
--------------

Thank you so much for the feedback and sharing beautiful quotes!!! These quotes offer diverse perspectives on love, from its fleeting nature to the importance of mutual love & the distinction between love & pleasure.
Thank you.
My translations of the French quotes :
----------------------------
Love is a thatch fire that only lasts for one moment.
----------------------------
Love is a smoke made of vapours of yearnings.
(Shakespeare)
------------------
Love is a mountain :
We climb it singing
We come down crying…
--------------
To be happy, one must be loved, and love for its price demands love verily.
------------------
Many lovers confuse love and pleasure and resemble travellers who think they like a town because they have dined well there.
------------------
More quote :
We don’t ask love to be blind; we don’t ask it either to be one-eyed.

When love gets hold of you, something in you answers. We don't know if it's the heart. But it happens. In one Indian film, one actor exclaimed : "It happening ! Love is happening !..." He had experienced love. Soman Ragavan.
Love is still a mystery.....
Great write
Thank you very much
You're welcome
Good write S.
Thank you...
That is some question that many people will answer in different ways, myself I believe you can love if never been loved yourself, I feel we are all born with that ability to love, the part we have to learn is how to express it appropriately. Enjoyed the read
Thank you so much for the read and valuable feedback. Much appreciated!!!
You are very welcome
Very sincere and deep! Best wishes, dear!
Thank you so much dear!
Philosophically profound. I believe anything is possible, so I would not say it is impossible. The question becomes, does the human being only experience love from human beings? Or will a human rejected by most people still experience love in other ways? Not sure there is an answer to this question, which is what makes it philosophy of the highest order. Well done, dear friend! 🌹👏
We all have the ability to feel what love is and certain questions are hard to answer. Even God is love. Thank you Tittu for the read, feedback and the fave! Much appreciated 🌹
