unexpected

mya

a wave engulfing you whole,
leaving nothing behind,
but a touch of chills—
stinging salt in your eyes.

an urgent car speeding by,
knocking you out of balance,
disturbing and scattering paths—
strands scratching your face.

a wandering wave of wind
carrying and dropping dust,
ruining a clean and neat home—
windows let free your trust.

a subtle state of equilibrium,
a mind toeing a marginal vacuum,
biting your tongue amidst flavors—
spilling your cup of tea.

The unexpected in many ways startles and sometimes frightens. A wonderful poem of the unidentifiable.
