Darren: Hello is anyone home.
Karen: Oh good you’re here finally. What do you
think of my hair.
Darren: I adore your hair. It’s so soft and golden.
Karen: Yes but it’s a disaster. I tried a perm. That didn’t work
I’ve had it cut and you didn’t even notice.
I even had a little colour put in but I’m really not sure.
What do you think of my makeup?
Darren: I Love you face. Your eyes are stars from the sky
Your lips are so perfect and attractive.
Karen: I don’t know. I think I have too much eye shadow.
I told the girl to go easy on the blue but would she listen? No
Nobody listens these days. What about the lips stick?
Do you think red or pink?
Darren: I think you are gorgeous either way.
Karen: Well what about this dress. Blue is my colour. What do you think?
I just love the off the shoulder and the hip hugging shape.
Darren: I...I ...I
Karen: Do you think it makes my backside look big?
Darren: No of course not.
Karen: Well I suppose we better get going. I hope Alice is there
she will just love my look. I worked so hard to get it right.
She appreciates the trouble I go to.
What are you staring at?
Darren: The most beautiful girl in the world.
Karen: Oh that’s sweet and true I’m sure. I just hope Daniel is
there tonight. I know how he has a thing for me.
Don’t get jealous if I dance with him. It’s just dancing.
Darren: I won’t.

It sounds like a lost cause in both cases. Such contrasts sometimes fit where control needs compliance, insecurity needs reassurance but where eyes reach out of the relationship trouble with instability starts. An informative read in a fun poem my friend
Yes a lost cause you are right. Thanks for your informed comments.
Firstly that is very relatable a partner asking all those questions and not listening or even interested in the answers, secondly the poor man is in love with someone he shouldn't be, enjoyed the read
Yes exactly right.Glad you enjoyed the read. Thanks for commenting
