Fairgrounds And Moral Decisions

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

When I was younger, I'd think deeply about Earth,

In the incubator, a four-week premature birth.

At school with a few friends but never fitted in,

Some souls dark, influenced by demons or djinn.

Loved fairgrounds, slides and all the big rides,

Sensing changes coming, a turning of the tides.

Moral decisions are made by less and less,

Don't fuck people over trying to be the best.

One of the main reasons I started writing rhymes,

We are living in completely unprecedented times.

A fun read reminiscing on past times and the reason for writing rhymes. Well done in rhyme

An entertaining read but makes some serious points, particularly what people do to be the best, something that happens all the time, enjoyed the read
