I Didn’t Always Get it Right

GenXer Shamrocker ☘️

I didn’t always get it right. I stumbled and I fell. I now know as long as He is with me, all is well. I didn’t always get it right. I made my fair share of mistakes. With Him by my side, he can make bad things great. It’s so easy to judge a person by their past. Words are powerful; in fact “the tongue is our greatest weapon. Damage often lasts. I have learned the hard way many times throughout my life. I know some past mistakes hurt people and for this I apologize. Being in His word has opened my eyes to many things. Change itself takes time; this in and of itself is the true blessing. We’ve all been lost souls at one point in time; what’s the harm in trying to understand a human being? Helping them to make wrong right? I realize the world today is uncertain; but His word says “love conquers all.” Would you agree that there’s no way that Love can be a burden? I didn’t and still may not get it right every day; keeping things bottled up inside can cause sickness and dismay. Not everyone had it as easy as others. Not everyone grew up with a father or mother. Some homes are so blessed to have that loving bond. Blessed enough to stay together and handle life’s greatest storms. Some tried but couldn’t make it work. Maybe both brought in baggage and deep rooted hurt. Some went through life feeling abandoned by their dad. No matter if it wasn’t their fault; it’s a scar that forever lasts. My point is if we could just try and understand another human being sincerely; Our Heavenly Father can shine the light to help you see more clearly.

  • Comment from author about the poem: 🙏🍀 I don’t believe no one ever made mistakes. I believe mistakes can be forgiven and that we each get a second chance. For the harder things; the more damaging things; all one can do is pray and TRUST that it will be ok.
