The Way You Are

Bishop M.

I’m trying to move on, really, I am—

But nothing compares to...

The way your hair flows in the wind,

The way your eyes sparkle in the sun,

The way your smile brightens the world,

The way you befriend everyone you meet,

The way you care for those around you,

The way your face lit up at the sight of a cat or dog,

The way you made dandelion crowns,

The way you are is just perfect

And it hurts,

Not going the way you are.
