They rose with hope into the sky,
No one knew it was goodbye.
A peaceful dawn, a planned return,
But fate had hard lessons to learn.
Above Ahmedabad, the silence fell,
A story the skies would forever tell.
Now stars above, they softly gleam,
Forever part of heaven’s dream.
Each name is a light we’ll not forget,
In every tear, in each sunset.
We hold them close in silent prayer,
Though gone, their love is everywhere.
In whispered winds and skies so wide,
They journey on, with wings of pride.
Though grounded now, their spirits fly—
Bright echoes in the endless sky.

- Comment from author about the poem: The poem "Silent Flight" is a heartfelt tribute to the lives lost in the tragic airplane crash that occurred in Ahmedabad. It captures the sorrow of an unexpected goodbye and the enduring love that remains after such a loss. With soft and respectful language, the poem paints the victims not as gone, but as stars now shining in the sky — remembered, cherished, and honored. Each verse reflects the quiet grief of families and loved ones, while also offering a gentle hope: that the souls lost have taken flight beyond the clouds, becoming part of something eternal and peaceful. The poem speaks not only to the tragedy but also to the strength of memory, love, and human connection — emotions that continue long after the crash. "Silent Flight" reminds us that while their physical journey may have ended, their spirit lives on in every prayer, in every sky, and in every heart that remembers.
