EMBRACED

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

Starlight embraced
Closed eyes to midnight
Light rain on the face
A dreamy reprise
Touched by the wings
Of an angel stood ready
Deep in the hour
A heartbeat suprised.
Upon invisible stairways
A long deepening sigh.

Fall forward
Mere moonlight
From water a haze
Glistening to forever
In eternitys
Sweet gaze.
Black satin night
Eager eyes to pry
Watching the halo
Slip from the sky.

this rings very very pretty. Would you tell me about it?

I see all aspects of things as living beings, moonlight, etc. and midnights, hours dawns moments etc as having short lifespans before they return to repeat.
Afterall I think poetry speaks of that moment that is caught in time

    • sorenbarrett

Sensuous, romantic, nicely written this poem carries the reader through anthropomorphic transformation of nature to human form. Subtle yet clear it sends its message well.

    • Mottakeenur Rehman

Your words dance like starlight on water—ethereal and hauntingly beautiful. This poem lingers like a whispered dream in the moon’s embrace.
