Where is she now?

Parsa Samadnejad

Where is she now? Have not seen her in years,
Like a moon hidden behind the cloud’s veil,
Like cherry blossoms lost when springtime clears,
Or dancing lights that fade in morning's pale.

What is she doing under moonlit skies?
Is she dancing with the breeze in delight,
And painting rainbows where the thunder lies,
Or knitting the sky’s yarn with threads of light?

How does she feel, whispering through my verse?
A free kite soaring on the breeze of joy,
A wilted rose with raindrops to converse,
Or lost in love, forgot her lonely boy?

I spend these sleepless nights just longing so,
For one I forgot a long time ago.
