A common tongue we use
That my lips can't form
I can't grasp or find
What words to say
Every time I misspeak
Or start to talk out of turn
I hear you start yelling
And the clouds grow grey
I can't ever get it right
No matter how high I climb
Things get lost in translation
Along the way
Is it ever enough?
It always seems like you want more
And it weighs on me
Until I'm burning at the core
You just want to drag me down
Well I found what I am fighting for
I'm not throwing in the towel
But I'm done keeping score
Everything in its wrong place
A whirlwind of entropy
I hear your rejections
Ringing in my ears
Broken at the core
Or maybe I’m just lazy
I was given the world
And I wasted all my years
Signs might look brighter
If I just saw the way they see
I can't stop driving blindly
In a car that oversteers
I've stumbled in the storms
I always get back up
Each time I rise
I'll be a stronger man
The sun crawls over the mountains
Its glow heals my wounds
The waters whisper
That I'm doing all I can
