Trudge Forward

Thomas W Case

As nightmares subside
at dawn, your eyes
reflect the fear and the
pain.
They spill a desire to try.

Please try.

You can walk in the
rain without an umbrella
and let the clover and
honeysuckle guide you
to safety.
Evict the chaos from
your thoughts, and
leave the incubus behind.

Life itself can so easily feel like a living nightmare, wonderful write

The grand struggle from within, you know as well as I do that some cannot be saved it takes an extraordinary soul to save itself, but on the rare occasions that they can they truly are extraordinary. Some can only float through life in limbo some understand they have more work to do than others, I do strongly believe we are all here for our own purpose. Superb poetry as always. Keep believing that belief in ones self can win over the dark once and for all. 🌹
