Sit Still

MatPie

Sit still, let it in
Everything is walking by, I know
Tell the leaves how they are
Stare at the colours of the sky
Breeze touches every strand of hair
Innocent children smile at their lollipops
Chit chats and dilly dally and whatnots
Each movement holds a history
So let it be, look at the trees
And listen to their deep-rooted wisdoms
The air is clear and quiet
Sit still, invite everything in
Beyond all identities and nations
All narcissistic tendencies of countries
Put down your pitchforks and brushes
We are like grasses
Naked and free, torn and grown
Each and each the same.
