Taste Buds

ìfè

There are rules
You are meant to follow
For this to work
But do not expect it to work
The other way

You gave me honey
I loved it
And you took it away

You gave me sugar
I did not like it as much
But I did not mind

Now you give me salt
And you are surprised
At my nonchalant behavior?

Honey
I have made a harmony
Of all tastes

It is funny how I thought
You were different

Actually
You were

You were just spiced differently
But the same delicacy
