Licking love off knives

HollyGolightly

I may have licked love off knives instead of spoons

The sharp prangs that cut my tounge

I tried so hard not to hit the painful points

But I always managed to cut myself some how

No matter the pain

Or the blood that drew from my mauve lips

Sometimes it would spill down my front

And I'd have to clean it up

But it stains .... Always staining my clothes

Then I realized

The clothes that are stained can go in the bin right?

And we can change them

Change our style

Just because I licked love from knives

Doesn't mean I don't love me
