Daylight

mtrotter1

I kiss the Jesus on your neck

Now we shall be revealed forever

And the storms are coming

Yet the daylight stands still

And the quietness bemuses me

And all the days ahead will rise,

For I am the daylight!

And I am the sun!

What beauty stands tall in the rain?

I am a spiritual assassin

As I listen to His voice

And the veil shall continue to be lifted

And I shall continue to see the sun,

And daylight has a face

That is in demand--

She wears her beautiful face in pearls

These words of perfection

Shall live forever

And the streets are warm with fear

Behold daylight's presence

For it is not my fault

That I've done these things,

Such things will be kept in the dark;

Dark roses linger in the night

But they grow in the daylight

I was rejected by the world

And the world alone,

So I cursed God

And it wasn't my fault

For inside me daylight has passed--

God loves me

And nothing is his fault

For evil has cursed me

But later on fell to the ground,

So what are all these things I've done?

For they were certainly justified

Under the sun,

My revelation chases me

For I am no longer an afterthought

For daylight has taken me afar

I kiss the Jesus in the sun

For my heart is no longer dying

This invisible force beneath the trees

Has called my name

Yet I write the songs in your heart

For you are amazing!

And the love is the love of war

Between family and friends,

I wonder if daylight is near.

I became the storm I was in

And look at me now...I am free!

Destroying people is my purpose

But only with good reason,

I am not the blood oath that you made

I am a flower that is saved

And my relapse was only temporary

For I see my feet in the clouds,

And the clouds reach me

For I am healed.
