I Miss Myself

maydanae

I miss myself

when I feel low

I miss my laugh

I miss the glow

Behind my eyes

Fabricated lies

I tell myself

To my own demise

I yearn to hide

From my own mind

And learn to mind

My own damn business

This poem was clever mixing just the right amount of wisdom and humor with clever rhyme to make a most balanced poem and a fave
