Seeing them all makes me feel rather sad,
Looking less like a tree, more like a lily pad.
Axed or chainsawed, thrown down to the floor,
Animals made homes inside them, not anymore.
Will rainforests wither away on judgement day?
Leaving lands empty like an eaten dinner tray.
Once an abundance of thriving greenery,
Trampled by fires and heavy machinery.
