One Year

13LaurenD

I saw a picture of you two, and you looked absolutely adorable,

But does she know that you are secretly horrible?

You celebrated your one year, and I'm so happy for you,

But does she know about the things that you actually do?

I wouldn't say it's actually been a year, because you guys haven't actually hit that yet,

Because I know I messed with your head from the moment we met.

Does she know about the two months you were dating and you were reaching out to me?

That you never told me the truth, because you wanted to see what you and I could be.

You say you love her so much, but you decided to keep your relationship under wraps,

And I am just going to be sitting back and watch the whole thing collapse.

I am not going to say anything, so don't worry about that,

And I am just going to let you enjoy where you're at.

One day the truth will come out, about how you tried to play both sides,

And that you played games, cheated, and you lied.

It's so sad, because she is so sweet and deserves so much better,

And one day she will look back and wish that you never met her.

Everyone knows, that you did it once, and you will do it again,

And it's not a matter of 'if', it really is just a matter of 'when.'

I thank God for protecting me from the games you like to play,

And I will bite my tongue, even though there is so much that I can say.

It's so sad, because she thinks she has someone special, if only she knew the truth,

That you still act like a teenager that is afraid to let go of their youth.

Your insecurities are showing, the way you try to get with every girl that gives you attention,

And there are a few other things that I forgot to mention.

Like despite what you think, you are not that great,

And when you come crying back, it will be too late.

It's obvious that despite what you think, it's just a temporary thing,

And that you two were just lonely, and that is what started your little fling.

So happy ten months, and don't forgot to tell her about the other two,

When you were talking to me, while she was sitting there right next to you.
