DREAM OF SARA

nephilim56

One more time
To dream of Sara
Falling snowflakes
From angry sky
In the corner of
A revolving room
Stage lights
To life they cry.

A familiar pattern
Half decent singers
Visiting sailors
On shore leave
A sticky carpet
To your feet
Violent fights
A repeating theme.

Cigarette smoke rises
Hot and stuffy
Too much perfume
Waters eyes
One more time
To dream of Sara
Falling snowflakes
From angry skies.

This poem drips with memory and longing, soaked in the atmosphere of a dimly lit venue and the ache of repetition. Very touching and moving ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

An emotional poem of memories evoked by things around with the feeling of loss in the past and a sense that it will not be regained. Wintery as cast by the snow flakes which are also delicate and beautiful as is the memory. Sad, longing, wistful. Well done
