twilight song before stillness

Jon Nakapalau

all that has left
i guess there is
that interpretation to have now
trying to come to terms
set in place yet lost
a modality of forgetting
before you are forgotten
bloom wounds that purple with time
the lilac echo of a last kiss
from the ghost of a bronze summer
i thought you were a goddess
who had taken my heart
your touch the space between beats.
