I sit in my room,
scrolling through my phone.
I think often of you,
If only you could know.
My friends call me obsessed,
My family gets told about you often.
It's not my fault you're the best.
I'd go to you without caution.
But that day would never come,
However I still spend my nights thinking of you.
Some would call me childish and dumb,
If only they could see from my point of view.
But this poem isn't about a celebrity crush,
Or someone I see from across the hall.
This is an ode to someone who only exists as a plush,
An ode to someone who only exists as a poster on my wall.
You exist in comic book pages.
I'll never get to meet you.
As I grow up, you stay ageless,
But you'll be in my head through and through.
