The Heaven in Your Eyes

Elizabeth Ross 4

I want to be the last game you play,

So you can feel like you’ve won the day.

Among your medals, I’m the prize to adore,

The one you’ve always been fighting for.

You and I have been through a lot,

By now, no one knows me like you’ve got.

the reason I’d give the world away,

Without a doubt, without delay.

Am I too dramatic in their eyes?

Sorry, but they don't realize

How our love works, how it flow,

A kind of bond that only we know.

At 4 a.m., this feels so right,

You and I, the perfect light.

Even Olympus feels envy and pride

For the love that we built, side by side.

They say heaven is found after death,

But I saw your eyes and lost my breath.

Among angels watching us spin and sway,

As we danced the night away.
