I've built my peace,
Engulfed by mists,
In search of guiding light, a beacon,
I've knocked on every door I've found,
But I'm not welcome in, I reckon.
I've built my peace,
With lonely roads,
With chilling nights and scorching sun,
With only thoughts to cheer me up,
And empty space right by my side.
But when I stumble,
When I fall,
When all I need’s someone to catch me,
To grab my hand, save me from harm,
To hold my weight for just a while.
There’s no one there but rocks and stones,
To scare my hands and break my legs,
There’s no one there.
There never was.
Only my peace and nothing else.

A poem of being on one's own. A tough road and life in general. A lovely write
A touching write of excepting that through a hard life they are on their own, nicely expressed
