La Dee Da

Kurt Philip Behm

With ear buds in place

these Stepford’s march on

Virtually connecting

— to what’s already gone

How true it is. Two people at the same table texting each other. The absurdity extends into disbelief. Very nice Kurt

I walk across Villanova University daily and watch kids walking together while talking on their cell phones to somebody else.

Yeah. Socially "connected" yet isolated. But let's be honest, the "connection" is mostly superficial...not that it has to be...but mostly is. This poem captures that ironic tragedy. Well done! 🌹👏
