Poison Ink

Fränz Müller

Pages within pages hide

The inner heart, the soul laid bare

Look upon my words, despair!

Ye who sees that chasm wide

‘twixt differences apperceived

And those carved in the icy stone

That is my eyes.  Before this throne,

Kneel, and cry for a death ungrieved.

The death of love, our precious fire

The likes of which to embers burned

My tender heart.  A lover spurned,

Embrace new love: the revenge I desire!
