Venus

Georgia Watson

Venus:

I stare into the mouth that holds your flesh ripping teeth, space that is your pain. Time of the essence, love floating like rings of Saturn. The Venus in her eyes, glistened to the beat of her heart, lit like a fire fly in the dark. Had I known then, if I knew now, time should’ve healed those wounds.

This poem feels so familiar like I had read it before. It is powerful and poetic.

I might’ve accidentally posted this twice maybe not sure yet. Cause it says I have like 12 poems but I usually only count 11. It’s always one more than I usually have when I post a poem

Wonderful poem, my friend. I was just pondering on Venus, actually, and so this poem almost feels like a sign. Regardless, a poem that has effervescent beauty, much like lit fire flies. Well done! 🌹👏
