So the Angel Won

So the Angel Won

The angel in me wants peace for you. Wants you to never know what it felt like to break like I did. To fall so far inside yourself you can’t even hear your name.

But the human in me… She wants you to feel it. To understand the weight of broken trust, the ache of spiraling alone. To know what it’s like to be told, “you’re too much” when all you ever were was true.

Still— as much as the human aches to be seen, to be justified, the angel laid her hand over mine and whispered:

“No one deserves this.”

So the angel won. But don’t think I forgot. I forgave you— but I won’t forget.

Not out of anger. But for protection. Because sometimes, healing means drawing a line where love used to live.
