Moon Man

jaxolotlPoems

I sit on the moon.

While everyone is down on Earth.

I look down upon them and watch their lives.

I watch them fall in love.

I watch them smile.

I watch them run and laugh.

And I watch their stories end.

I watch them cheer with friends.

I watch them weep and mourn for the dead.

I watch them drink and celebrate.

I watch them fight and scream.

And I watch them destroy everything.

I sit on the moon.

While everyone is down on Earth.

I watch them live their lives.

While I exist.

  • sorenbarrett

Separation from the rest of the world allows one to see their errors and destruction. Nicely penned.
