Maze
You keep asking what's wrong.
I say "I'm fine"— choking on the word I really wanted to say: you.
You were the reason I cried in the dark, but also the one who held me after.
The pain? You gave it. The comfort? You offered that too. And maybe that’s the worst part— I never knew if I was healing or hurting more.
Now I’m in this maze, walls closing in, every turn leading back to you.
No exit signs. Just echoes. Just me.

- Comment from author about the poem: The feeling of someone hurting you but comforting you not knowing they caused the pain. You let them because you don’t want to hurt them.

A maze is confusing and meant to deceive. Here I hear the indecision of whether return or not is on the agenda. Well written with emotion.
