dark matter

gray0328

what moves the stars but hides like

a whisper cradled under the tongue

what dances between galaxies unseen

and threads every moment with silence

we call it dark as if blackness

is all that defines the unknown

but perhaps it is simply too vast

for us to tuck into our pockets

the eighty-five percent we can't touch

is more certain than the air we breathe

what if the invisible carries everything

what if the unseen holds us together

gravity pulls from a place unnamed

heaviness born from questions unanswered

in the cosmos and within ourselves

is it the mystery or the fear of it

Deep questions about the unknown, unseen, not heard, touched, tasted or smelled A dark question.

A lovely write asking all the questions of the unknown, probably if Truth be told we fear it, enjoyed the read

I have this totally off the wall suspicion that dark matter is merely the hidden element in an equation by an astronomer/mathematician which doesn't work.
    Liked the unsatisfied questions.
