Coco

Yael Olalde-Garcia

my message to coco castro

go ahead and frolic, coco—

let the wind gargle you senseless

let your meat-filled bones kiss the grass

you are clueless as human meat

i will devour you. not today.

perhaps not even tomorrow.

but coco, hear me when i say this:

you are boy dinner. my dinner.

i’ll let your fur touch pearls

i’ll let your bones dissolve in my acid

i’ll plate you in a mouth

drenched in heavy metals

and i’ll say you lived—

a long, enduring life.

i’m at the glass table.

while bourbon drowned.

Sounds like you are hungry with all the eat lines. A fun read. Enjoyed it.
