Get One Over

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

Stop taking advantage of kindness, we not weak,

Only when wanting something, most will speak.

So tired of self-righteousness, isn't important,

Morals skewed and skeewiffed is what I meant.

Going out of your way to be a hunter, get one over,

Once upon a time they were as close as a brother,

Things change, now acting more like a rival soldier.

What was once cooperation now a rivalry. Change happens and recognition of it arises in this poem. Nicely done

Was just seeing a song I wrote about one such person. Hit the spot, my dear friend. Keep on doing you! It's rockin! 🌹👏
